IT: L'Unesco dichiara il Tango argentino patrimonio dell'Umanità
La decisione presa nel corso di un meeting ad Abu Dhabi fra 400 esperti che hanno selezionato 76 candidature

«Un Bene Culturale Immateriale» così l'Unesco ha annunciato l'inserimento del Tango argentino nel patrimonio dell'Umanità. L'Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite per l'Educazione, la Scienza e la Cultura ha preso la decisione nel corso di un meeting fra 400 esperti riuniti ad Abu Dhabi per compilare una lista di arti e tradizioni da salvaguardare. Sono l'Argentina e l'Uruguay che congiuntamente avevano avanzato la proposta, visto che la storia di questo ballo è strettamente legata a quella del Rio de la Plata, il fiume che divide i due paesi. Il Comitato intergovernativo per la salvaguardia del patrimonio culturale immateriale dell'Unesco ha selezionato 76 candidature su un totale di 111, presentate da 35 Paesi."

DUBAI, Emiratos Arabes Unidos (AP) - Las Naciones Unidas declararon al tango patrimonio cultural de la humanidad el miércoles, otorgándole el sello internacional de aprobación que por años buscaron Argentina y Uruguay.

The Tango has been declared part of the world's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by the United Nations.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation aims to preserve a list of legacies under threat from global change.
Argentina and Uruguay, where the dance originated, jointly submitted it.
UNESCO said heritages seeking approval, transmit from "generation to generation" and give "communities and groups a feeling of identity".
It added that the dance "embodies and encourages diversity and cultural dialogue."
Argentinian official Hernan Lombardi said he was "very proud that the music and dance of the Tango have now been safeguarded for humanity.

76 Neuaufnahmen in die UNESCO-Liste des immateriellen Kulturerbes
Das UNESCO-Komitee für die Bewahrung des immateriellen Kulturerbes hat 76 Beispiele für die Vielfalt kultureller Ausdrucksformen in aller Welt in die "Repräsentative Liste des immateriellen Kulturerbes" aufgenommen, darunter auch den argentinischen und uruguayischen Tango. Das Komitee tagt vom 28. September bis 2. Oktober 2009 in Abu Dhabi, Vereinigte Arabische Emirate.
